1. You Can Tell it was a Night Downtown

It’s two am. My feet and hips hurt. I smell like dance floor sweat, cigarettes, and cologne. My hair is all over the place.

But I had a great time! From Europe boy to the goofiest guys (who were so dang fun to dance with), I had so much fun. Good music, great friends, and tons of dancing.

Here’s to my last month on the plains.

  2. And More

Northside wants me to start in July rather than September..which is great but that is no time at all to prepare! AHHH

  3. The Summer After Nursing School

There is barely contained panic is bubbling just below the surface. I am waiting/stressing for the Georgia Board of Nursing to send me my ok to take the NCLEX licensure exam.  Once I have it, the stress will just increase because I have to actually take the exam, which determines if I can practice nursing-I can always retake it, but that cannot be an option because it’s $200 and you have to wait 40 days-no thank you, failure is NOT an option. Plus I have to do official stuff with Northside-the hospital I will be working at, assuming all goes well-this week and I’m weirdly afraid that they are going to pull the rug out from under that job offer.

And of course as exciting as it is, there’s moving to be considered which is stressful because it requires packing and money.

All this change will be exciting, but wow, so much stress.

This being an adult stuff is for the birds.

  4. Another Change

so it’s been awhile since i’ve posted. so i just finished my senior practicum and i’m not really sure how to feel it. after working at northside hospital for seven weeks and spending twelve plus hour days with the other nurses on the floor, it’s hard not to get attached. don’t get me wrong, i’m so incredibly excited for graduation and a couple weeks of doing absolutely nothing except going to the pool, but i’ve grown to really like atlanta. this just reaffirms that it is time for me to leave auburn. so if all goes according to plan, hopefully i’ll be back at northside in the fall as an RN (getting paid to work, what a novel idea lol). the last month and a half is just another check mark off my list on my countdown to may 5th.

  5. Confession

one of the major reasons i hope to have a job immediately after graduation is to have the possibility to visit kendall in spain/italy next may after her study abroad.

that should NOT be a top priority as a new grad…but shhhhhhh! it kinda is.

hey, i’m 22, why not dream big?
